Saint Rita Synodal Catholic Community was founded on July 3rd, 2016, as a ministry of the Augustinians of the Immaculate Heart of Mary and the Synodal Catholic Diocese of the Mid-Atlantic to the people of Berks County and beyond in Pennsylvania. On this day, we celebrated our first Liturgy, with the installation of Father Thomas Bradshaw as Pastor, by Bishop Joseph Menna AIHM.

     At Saint Rita's, we are:

*Catholic - we celebrate our Christian faith, in the context of the Independent Catholic tradition.

*Inclusive - we welcome all people to full participation in the life of our community, regardless of where they have or have not been, who they are or who they feel called to be.

*Augustinian - under the care of the Augustinians of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, we follow Saint Augustine of Hippo's example for living the Christian life together in community - walking together, One in Mind and Heart, on the way to God.
